Calisthenics is physical training that focuses on strength, skill and control to master your body. Beautiful displays of strength using your own bodyweight.
Equipment that you’ll find in gymnastics can be used to practice calisthenic exercises. In fact gymnastics is a type of Calisthenics training. To give you an idea; imagine horizontal bars for pull-ups, muscle-ups, front- and back levers. Or think about rings, parallettes, swedish ladder, pole or handstand canes.
There is a certain playfulness in performing calisthenic movements. The core shifts from doing 12 reps and 3 sets to enjoying the progress and nailing a trick.
Calisthenics is for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or more advanced. There are pro- and regressions for every trick.
